01The villa
Room for two families, and privacy for each
On the garden level, a large open-plan space brings together the living room, kitchen and dining area around a marble staircase. Two double bedrooms open onto the pool through their terraces, with a large bathroom between them: walk-in shower and double basin. A pantry holds an extra fridge and two wine coolers, and the laundry room a washer and a dryer.
Upstairs, two suites each have their own bathroom. A small wooden staircase leads to the children's mezzanine, with two single beds and its own bathroom. A fifth bathroom is outside, by the pool. It works well for two families: one downstairs, the other upstairs, and everyone keeps their privacy. The house has air conditioning and WiFi, and a workspace for anyone who needs to stay reachable.

02Pool and summer kitchen
The pool by day, the pergola in the evening
The large pool is entirely private, with loungers, parasols and a solar shower. It is unheated and open from 1 May to 30 September, and our team cleans it early every morning. Out back, the pergola shelters a fully equipped summer kitchen: a pizza oven made in Palermo, a plancha and a barbecue, for dinners outdoors. At the front, a large covered terrace looks onto the children's play area.

03The campo sardo
A kitchen garden to pick your dinner from
Depending on the season, the vegetable garden gives tomatoes, basil and aromatic herbs, and you are welcome to help yourself for your meals. The young orchard grows right next to it, along with the rose bushes that gave the house its name.
The garden is watered by an artesian well, and photovoltaic panels produce part of the villa's electricity. Cleaning products are refilled rather than thrown away, and waste sorting, taken very seriously in Sardinia, is explained in the welcome booklet.

04Your hosts
Stéphanie, born on the island, and her team on site
Stéphanie was born in Sant'Antioco and spent her teenage summers in Calasetta. She now lives near Paris. She restored the house to welcome families and friends, and stays reachable before and during your stay.
On site, the Villa Rose team welcomes you with a basket of Sardinian produce and will tell you which beach suits the day's wind. The team also looks after the pool and the garden every morning. Bed, bath and pool linen are provided, along with beach towels.

05The beaches and the village
Spiaggia Grande two hundred metres away, Le Saline right next door
Spiaggia Grande is 200 metres away on foot, with two ways down to the sand. It is a pale-sand beach that shelves gently, with two kiosks, parasol and lounger hire, and a kitesurfing school in July and August. Le Saline beach and its dunes start right next to it. The port and centre of Calasetta are 8 minutes away by car, Sant'Antioco 15 minutes, and the ferry to Carloforte leaves from Calasetta's port. Cagliari airport is 90 km away.

How much does Villa Rose cost in summer?
For summer 2027, expect €764 to €1,347 per night in July and August depending on the week, with a 7-night minimum, and €627 to €895 per night in June and from 1 to 15 September, with a 6-night minimum. You can arrive on any day of the week. These prices are for 6 guests; beyond that, add €54 per night for each additional guest, children included. The exact price for your dates appears in the calendar.
How far is the beach?
Spiaggia Grande is two hundred metres from the villa, about a two-minute walk, and Le Saline beach is right next to it. Beach towels are provided. The port and centre of Calasetta are less than ten minutes away by car.
How do I get to the villa?
The nearest airport is Cagliari-Elmas, about 90 km away, or around 1 hour 30 by car. A car is essential: the villa is in the countryside with no neighbours, and the shops are 8 minutes away in Calasetta and 15 minutes away in Sant'Antioco. On request, we can arrange a return transfer from the airport, to be booked in advance. If you are coming by ferry with your car, the nearest port is Cagliari. A bus also links Cagliari and Calasetta, but the journey takes nearly four hours.
How many people can the villa sleep?
The villa sleeps up to eleven guests: four bedrooms for adults, two double rooms on the ground floor and two suites upstairs, each with a queen-size bed, plus a children's mezzanine with two single beds. A sofa bed and a baby cot complete the sleeping arrangements. It has five bathrooms, including an outdoor one by the pool.
Is the villa suitable for children?
The villa is designed for families, with a cabin-shaped mezzanine ideal for two children aged five to twelve, a play area in the garden, a private pool and the beach two hundred metres away. The pool is not fenced, so supervising the children remains the parents' responsibility.
Is the pool open all year round?
No. The unheated pool is open from 1 May to 30 September, as is the summer kitchen, and a little longer if the weather allows. Outside this period the villa can still be booked, but without the pool or the summer kitchen.
Are pets allowed?
Pets are not allowed at the villa.
Does a tourist tax apply?
The tourist tax of the municipality of Calasetta is added to the price and requested before your stay, by bank transfer.
What is included in the price, and what isn't?
Included: bed, bath and pool linen, beach towels, WiFi, air conditioning, end-of-stay cleaning, the welcome basket and vegetables from the garden in season. The price calculated on the site already accounts for the number of guests (€54 per night per person beyond 6). Not included: the Calasetta tourist tax; electricity used beyond what the solar panels produce, charged at the end of your stay at €0.50 per kWh; the mid-stay cleaning, required from 6 nights and charged according to the time needed; and on-request services such as the airport transfer. A security deposit of 30% of the stay amount is also requested and returned after your departure.
How do arrival and departure work?
Check-in and check-out always take place in person, with the person who made the booking, and the whole group must be present at check-in. During your stay, our team comes by every morning between 6:30 and 9:00 to look after the pool and the grounds. Once a week, more thorough maintenance takes place between 3 and 6 pm, when the pool and outdoor areas are unavailable.
